I started out in the Army as a PSYOP reservist. I really enjoyed my time there, and I had some phenomenal leaders. But I quickly fell into the hole that many soldiers fall into these days: I ballooned to nearly 300lbs. in a matter of a year. My lowest PT score was a 93 OVERALL. I should've been booted. But my leaders saw something, and stuck with me. They were always supportive, and never gave up on me. Fast forward a couple of years, and I had gotten back in shape, and decided to go active duty as an 18X. Best decision of my life. Throughout the grind of the Q-Course, those leaders kept in contact with me, and check up on me to this day.
So, I wanted to create something impactful, to pay forward the impact they had on me. I also had the fortune of working with some SF guys during my time in PSYOP who made me feel extremely valued, welcome, and useful. Those NCO's were my guiding light for creating this page. I want to foster a community of extremely capable SF soldiers who also know the most important element of our job is the connections we create and leverage. Without them, we couldn't do our jobs.
I want you, the reader, no matter your background, to take something of value from what I put out. Though SF is my current occupation, it is NOT the reason I am the way I am; nor is it the basis of my existence. I am not who I am because I am a Green Beret. I was able to become a Green Beret because of who I am. So, I want you to realize that it is neither title nor accolade that makes you. Rather, it is who you are that is hopefully the type of person that it worthy of earning title and accolade.
With that being said, this is a passion project for me. And I PROMISE you that I will never pocket a penny of sales. All money that comes through physical products on this site (after productions costs are covered) will be donated to various charities that service our SOF community.
